Usually, I'm not learning anything high-falutin'. It's the simple things that make life extraordinary...an aura of thanksgiving, the indescribable warmth of a faithful husbands'embrace, the rhythmic breath-sounds of a longed-for baby. God is good. Jesus is real. And my life is evidence of that--even on the tough days. As a follower of Jesus Christ, a wife and mother, and the wife of a pastor, I am honoured to share what God is doing in my life, to His glory.

Trashers

The worst part of spring is the GARBAGE!

It takes way less energy to keep the crap in the car than someone having to haul their butt into a ditch and pick up beer cans, slurpee cups, plastic bags, cigarette paraphernalia and paper.  Annoyed?  Yup, I am.

I just spent a good chunk of my time picking up stuff that, for the most part, had someone else's saliva  and other miscellaneous bodily secretions on it.  Gross!

Keep it off the ground people!  And if it blows outta your hand, be a peach and bend over and pick it up yourself.  And for goodness sake, if it could cut a kid or be toxic if they ate it, don't throw it on the ground!

Okay, I got that outta my system.  And to all you wonderfuls that go out every year and rid our ditches and grassy lanes of trash--way to go!  It's sad that your efforts are even needed, but we sure appreciate how good it looks afterwards.  Thanks.
